Jay Vleeschhouwer now does software research for Griffin Securities, Inc. Here is a summary of a report he released this morning: Dassault will be reporting 2Q11 results on Thursday July 28th. For the quarter, we are estimating total revenues and non-IFRS [ie, International Financial Reporting Standards] earnings of €407.9 million [roughly US$585m], up 6%. We are assuming Catia revenues up 3%; “Mainstream 3D” [ie, SolidWorks] revenues up 11%, and Enovia revenues up 1%. PTC will be reporting 3Q11 results after the close of market on Tuesday July 26th. Following are some highlights in the text and data, including revenues by channel, customer concentration, and segment profitability. Sales & Distribution Dassault defines its channels as: “PLM Enterprise Business Transformation”, or BT (now including the IBM PLM acquisition, and formerly IBM as its principal partner, plus Dassault’s direct sales); “Value selling channel” (the VAR network for its various CAD and PLM products, not counting SolidWorks); “Professional channel”. The Vleeschhouwer Report: Autodesk's 2012 product launch, fiscal year highlights

by Jay Vleeschhouwer Following on its product launch webcast of last evening, Autodesk today formally unveiled its regular annual product releases. The "2012" releases comprise its two largest standalone products – AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT – and of course the portfolio of manufacturing, AEC, and infrastructure products. These include the AutoCAD-based vertical products, as well as Inventor, Revit, Moldflow, NavisWorks, and so on.
