It's not evil if we don't consider it evil
Google becoming more aggressive about inserting itself into my world. Here are couple of recent examples.
It has begun demanding that I use my Google credentials to log into Web sites, ones where I already have independent passwords. In the screen grab below, after I am logged into eBay, Google interferes, and in virus-like fashion tried to hijack my login credentials.
One morning, I had an interview with a developer. When he sent a Zoom invite from his Gmail account, Google inserted its own Meet link, as a virus would. See the screen grab.

As an editor friend said, "I miss the good old days of 'Don’t be evil'." That bromide, about government involvement in our lives, could be rewritten in 2020 as,
"Hello.
I'm from Google.
I'm here to help you."
