DB + BIM
If you like trains as much as I do, then you might be excited to learn that Germany's Deutsche Bahn rail operator has released all of its station furniture as BIM files, free. That's 3D models of guard rails, shelters, sign posts, light standards, and so on. The package includes IFC exchange profiles and planning documents.

There numerous catches in the offer from DB Station & Service AG (the arm of Deutsche Bahn that operates the train stations in Germany) and Allplan:
- The registration page, download site, and software install are all in German
- The download is an EXE installer file that searches for AllPlan
- The installer stops when it cannot find AllPlan
Otherwise, cool.
Some stats about the Germany passenger rail system:
- 5,400 stations
- 800 station buildings
- 3,300 tenants, like stores, in 700 of the stations
- 1 million m² (ten million square feet) floor space
- 20 million passengers/day
- Using BIM since 2017 to manage it all
