New suit same as the old suit
Legal counsel for IntelliCAD Technical Consortium yesterday announced it launched legal action against GStarsoft of China to enforce an Oregon arbitrator's ruling that awarded $273,892.14 (+ interest) to the ITC.
I presented a Q&A with both sides in this case nearly a year ago in upFront.eZine. The details of the dispute are laid out in http://www.upfrontezine.com/2015/05/itc-vs-gstarsoft.html.
Since that article and after Skype-to-Skype talks failed to arrive at a resolution satisfactory to the ITC, the consortium took the nest step, meeting with an arbitrator, who ruled unanimously in favor of ITC.
After GStarSoft failed to respond inside a three-month window, the ITC took the arbitrator's ruling to the courts for enforcement, as per US law -- yesterday's announcement. A copy of the ITC's complaint and a copy of the ITC's new commercial membership agreement can be read here: http://www.intellicad.org/hubfs/docs/IntelliCAD_v._Gstar.pdf
