I call BS: that only tests if you would be passionate in mechanical, and would have slated me to be failure. Civil engineering (and almost all actual sciences) is so far removed from that little fastener that it pains me to think how many people might get turned off or away from STEM based on a poorly defined "test." Are we so enamored with instant gratification and simple answers to complex problems that we don't even want to try something unless we know ahead of time we will love it and succeed? Not everyone knows what they love doing until they are actually doing it.

I, too, have my engineering degree in Civil, specializing in Transportation. I find that thread sexy.
