Windows keyboard shortcuts I find useful

Faster than the ribbon

 

The fastest way to get things done on computer is through keyboard shortcuts, and these are the ones I use often. (Depending on the software, certain ones might not work.)

 

Ctrl+W to close the current window; I press Ctrl+W repeatedly to close all windows in the current program; when there are no windows left open, then the final Ctrl+W closes the program.

Alt+Tab to switch to the next program; I use Alt+Tab to quickly switch between two programs I am using at the same time.

Windows+Right-arrow makes the current program take up the right half of the screen; I use this one to quickly size Windows Explorer, so that it takes up a half-screen. Pressing this key combo repeatedly places the window in different locations, including on the second monitor.

Alt+PrtScr to make a screen grab of the top-most window or program or dialog box; actually, I now use WinSnap instead of the Windows screen grab utility and so I programmed it to use Ctrl+Spacebar to make screen grabs

Tab (instead of Enter) to quickly move between fields of a form, such as on a Web site; press Shift+Tab to move backwards through the fields.

Esc to cancel something, such as getting out of full screen in a browser (press F11 to get the browser into full screen mode)

Ctrl+B, Ctrl+I. and Ctrl+U for boldfacing, italicizing, and underlining text

Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, and Ctrl+V for copying, cutting, and pasting elements to and from the Clipboard

Ctrl+A to select everything

In the word processor I use, Atlantis, I press Ctrl+Alt+Ins to paste text unformatted.

Ctrl+Tab is a good one I'll have to start using.

Some I others I use:
Ctrl+F4 close current window (looks like equivalent to Ctrl+w)
Alt+F4 Close application
Windows+E start Windows Explorer

I also tend to use a lot of Alt+X to maximise and Alt+n to minimise current window.
Another slick feature is to use Alt+Tab and scroll wheel on your mouse, a jazzier way to switch between different open windows

Windows+D = desktop (the second time restores...if you've done nothing else)
Windows+L = lock / login
Windows+(any arrow key), does various useful functions, not just right arrow
