With the release of Draftsight V1R3, Dassault Systemes announces official support for Windows 8:
- We're ready for Windows 8 on 64-bit only.
- DraftSight now runs on tablets that run Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.
The bigger thing to note, however, is that only 64-bit versions of DraftSight will be supported on Windows 8, and so no 32-bit computer can run it. A downer for those counting on lowering their CAD costs with DraftSight.

How is only 64bit a downer? The windows software cost is the same and it's been quite awhile since computers came with 32bit processors.
