What's needed is an announcement by a CADCAM company not owned by Dassault that they are going to implement the CGM kernel.

Questions I have:

How much of the surfacing functionality that is in Catia is in the CGM kernel?

In a history based modeler can the CGM kernel provide significant speed advantages over Siemens Parasolid by taking advantage of concurrency?

It sure would be nice to see head to head performance comparisons between Siemens Parasolid and Dassault CGM.
