The English language version of ArchiCAD 16 is set to hit the streets 30 May, with updates dropping into customer's mailboxes in June. All 26 languages are due to ship by the end of September.
Two big features are the morph tool and cloud search for components (symbols and blocks). Morph lets you directly model create custom geometry using push'n pull. BIMcomponents.com uses ArchiCAD’s parametric GDL technology is connected with the cloud-based BIM Component database so that all Graphisoftt users can create, search, upload, and download custom components.
As for our sister publication, upFront.eZine celebrated its 17th birthday this week. Issue #1 was emailed out on 1 May 1995 to the 330 subscribers of its paper-based predecessor, CAD++ newsletter. upFront.eZine now has more than 11,000 subscribers and reaches readers in 70 countries.
