No suprise that Manila is a city of contrasts, with busy, plastic-covered street merchants sitting on the steps that lead up to luxury highrises. Philippines rewards entrepeneurs, for the self-employed pay no income tax -- at least for now.
Here are four photos I snapped on my way "home" through the CBD from work yesterday evening, around 6pm. The overall impression I get is young, and vibrant. This place has energy!
