Couple of Galaxy S tips

Thanks to Patrik Emin for these tips for those of use who use the Android-running Galaxy S cell phone from Samsung:

Tip 1. Press the status bar (at the top of the screen) to see today's date.

Tip 2. When auto-brightness is off, you can change the screen brightness manually by dragging your finger across the status bar.

 (To turn off auto-brightness: Settings | Sound and Display | Brightness and then turn off Automatic Brightness Adjustment.)

And here's shortcut that I found:

Tip 3. In the Home screen, you can go directly to one of the other six screens by pressing the dot representing the screen.
