StreamCAD comes out of beta, as Streamspace begins to sell its CAD software as a release candidate with these features:
- Drawing data stored in XML and DWG/DXF files.
- C++ API supports custom commands and entities.
- Editable user interface, with text and dialog boxes stored in XML files.
- Help based on HTML files.
- Cross platform Windows and Mac (Linux planned).
During the release candidate period StreamCAD is e199 (about $250). Owner Henrik Vallgren tells me that "the Mac version was 90% of the beta downloads."
