The item in today's
Tenlink.com Daily makes one sit up:
CADDIT
Offers Alibre v12 for Free in Australia
Well, not really. In that this is the same Alibre offer as before: download the current version of Design (now V12), run it free for 30 days -- after which it reverts to Alibre Xpress, which offers these limitations, as explained by CADDIT:
● 3D models only; no 2D drawings from 3D parts.
● Assemblies limited to five unique parts.
● No Boolean operations, like Union and Subtract.
● No shelling, lofting, 3D sketching, helixes, sweeps, and so on.
● No 3D interference checking.
Don't look at me :O We didn't even send Tenlinks a copy of the press release, which was intended only for Australia: www.itwire.com/content/view/28348/545/ As you state, our site & blog are very clear that the download and trial period are free. But its worth mentioning that Alibre will actually run in Express Mode after the trial period for free as well..
