"Tailoring AutoCAD" began w-a-a-y back in the days of AutoCAD Release 13 as a monthly column for AutoCAD World magazine. In exchange for not paying me very much, the editor allowed me to take back the copyright after three months.
After 90 days, then, I posted the column on the upfrontezine.com site, where the originals can still be viewed at www.upfrontezine.com/tailor/tailor01.htm.
A reader suggested in 2002 that it would be awfully convenient if I would collect all those columns into a single document. It was then that the very first Tailoring AutoCAD ebook debuted, which I quickly updated for AutoCAD 2004.
Since then, I've updated the ebook for each new release, and then began adding other "tailorings," such as for dynamic blocks and QuickCalc.
Although Tailoring AutoCAD is my best-selling ebook overall, I was surprised at which single title has turned out to be #1. Can you guess? *) See answer below.
Now in Five Volumes
I have decided to split Tailoring AutoCAD 2010 into five volumes, because otherwise it would be over 800 pages, sport a price tag of around $80.00, and become a 12MB download. That just too big, and would probably overwhelm most people's email in boxes. Some of this splitting off began with earlier editions, but now the job is complete:
Vol 1: Tailoring AutoCAD 2010 (excludes the topics listed below).
Vol 2: Tailoring Dynamic Blocks 2010
Vol 3: Tailoring AutoCAD CUI 2010
Vol 4: Tailoring QuickCalc
Vol 5: Tailoring AutoLISP, Diesel, DCL, and Scripts

*) The #1 ebook title is Tailoring Dyamic Blocks (as measured by unit sales), much to my surprise.
