Almost discreetely, Graphisoft yesterday announced ArchiCAD 13 through its corporate "The ArchiCAD Update" e-newsletter. New features include:
Graphisoft's BIM Server accesses files in the office and over the Internet. It uses Delta Server technology to transmit only changes to drawing files, increasing apparent network speed. In addition, it blocks data errors to prevent file corruption.
And support for 64-bit Windows.
Also:
- Door and window previews can be annotated associatively in the Interactive Schedule window.
- Flexible project alignment lets you edit diagonal wings naturally; annotations are adjusted automatically to the final layout orientation.
- Intelligent "soft" insulation fills
- Project-specific library parts are saved in the ArchiCAD project file.
- Improved DWG layer management and exporting of multiple layouts into a single DWG file.
- BIM elements are classified as load-bearing or non-load-bearing structures; includes thousands of standard steel products.
ArchiCAD 13 ships in the middle of this month.
