Steve Huffman of Draftware tells me of his new DV-CADDS Reader API for reading-viewing-translating CADDS 4X and CADDS 5 files -- without a CADDS license. This lets programmers add support for CADDS to CAD systems, translators, and other APIs using Microsoft's Visual C++ v6.0 or v2008.
Currently it's a no-cost download; once you've incorporated the code, then you get to pay a per-license fee for the products sold with CADDS support. In addition, the DraftView CADDS viewer is being bundled in at no extra cost. The libraries can be downloaded from www.draftware.com/dv-cadds
