Word Process Mangles Text

Microsoft Word has many drawbacks. One of them is how it tends to mangle that most important of all documents, the press release.

Here is a particularly mangled one that just arrived in my In box:

Customers Give Print Audit An “A” In Technical Support [?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O /]*

The point of a word processor is to help, not hinder.
