So, I'm making the 8-hour trip diagonally across America, from sunny cool Vancouver Canada to sunny warm Orlando Florida. I won't be arriving at the hotel until 11pm tonight, or there abouts.
Others have already arrived in hurricane country. Matt Lombard already reported on Saturday:
Several people are arriving. SolidWorks employees have been in the area for some time already. This year’s new crop of bloggers are giddy with excitement.
Not to mention Roopinder Tara, Randall Newton, and other titans of the CAD publishing world on hand to report on the people and the software.
For my part, I have a half-dozen interviews lined up, and will be sitting in on two general sessions. There's a press conference with Richard Branson, the world's best-known virgin, and the press dinner at Epcot Center, China edition. Another press conference with a mystery guest (Carl Bass?*) is either Tuesday or Wednesday; different versions of the schedule contradict each other. (Hopefully Tuesday, since I head back Tuesday afternoon.)
SolidWorks marketing has promised wireless Internet will be available, and so I hope to blog much of this live here on WorldCAD Access.

*) Hey, don't laugh. He was, after all, the penciled-in mystery guest at another East Coast event, BE.
[Disclosure: SolidWorks provided me with air travel, hotel accommodation, some meals, and who knows what else during the event. I'll let you know.]
