« DoubleCAD XT (nee A/CAD LT) Now Expected in February | Main | AutoCAD on a Netbook »

So let me see if I can extrapolate from this breaking news story...

progeSOFT, the "Contender from Como", with the recent release of their brand new solution, progeCAD 2009 Professional "AutoCAD Like" software, the CAD software that costs 1/10th the price of AutoCAD, can claim a technical lead in at least one distinct arena over Autodesk, the "Vito from Sausalito", the "Baseline of "Design, the "Bad of the CAD", The Reigning CAD Market Champion has fell behind in Google Earth export technology.

progeCAD 2009 Professional ships with Google Earth export as a standard feature of the software for everyone using it!

Users of progeCAD don't have to download some special module that has not yet been cleared as a part of the released software.

Clearly, progeSOFT should immediately notify the major CAD news sources of this breathtaking achievement. :-)

Rhinoceros too, leap years ahead

But anyway, there is an AutoCAD plug-in (Plex.Earth Tools for AutoCAD) which can cover large areas with Google Earth images creating a "mosaic".

It is great since it offers transformation for 2000 coordinate systems around the world even in the "vanilla" AutoCAD.
