This afternoon, Dave Lorenzo and Mark Barrow will be showing us IntelliCAD 7. That's going to be interesting...
(For those wondering about the time offset, Athens is ten hours ahead of the Pacific coast, so 12 noon here is 3am over in the West Coast, and 6am on the East Coast of North America. Yes, I've gotten over jetlag, having arrived three days before the conference. There will be no spy shots of me nodding off...)
While we wait for Dave and Mark, a few other items...
This year, there are 70 attendees at this event, up from 50 at the last event. (The last one was in Kelowna Canada, so probably less desirable for the many European developers.)
The ITC has hired Bob McGill for the new position of business development manager. His role is to look for more members. More members = more money for development.
IntelliCAD v6.6
The current version is v6.6, a bug fix for IntelliCAD v6.5. It will not be released so much as a slipstream release.
New in v6.6 is:
- High priority bug fixes
- Performance enhancements to the raster engine: faster, less memory, larger images, and new sysvars.
- VSTA, the replacement for VBA. (New members can only purchase a VSTA license, since Microsoft is forcing people off VBA.)
