Dassault Systemes Q3 net earnings fell 24% due to the weakness of the US$. The company also cut its revenue forecast to e1.275 - 1.285 billion for the year (about US$1.8 billion). One stock broker warned that Dassault's primary customers, automotive and manufacturing, are under cost pressures and may even face a recession.
Its share price fell 6% the news. Total sales, however, rose 7% to e301.3 million (US$434 million).
In contrast, we can expect US-based CAD companies to report sharply higher earnings, starting with PTC tomorrow.
