Frustrated with the pace of development at the IntelliCAD Tehnology Consortium, Europe's Bricsys is working on its own development path, and today releases version 8 of their Bricscad software based on IntelliCAD
New features include a brand-new interface...
...as well as:
* Drawing Explorer
* CUI menus and toolbars
* Dockable Properties Bar
* Extended raster image support
* New highly compatible COM API
* Full ACIS (3D solids) modeling
* Support for Object ARX
The Pro version is US$425; a 30-day demo can be downloaded from bricsys.com.
"Support for Object ARX".
Not exactly. ObjectARX is the SDK (Software Development Kit) developed by Autodesk and used in AutoCAD. The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium has been developing a similar SDK for IntelliCAD which they have called DRX. Bricscad (or any other IntelliCAD) will not be able to load ObjectARX DLLs which were developed for AutoCAD using the ObjectARX SDK.
So I don't quite think they can claim that they support ObjectARX.
