3D Measurements from2D Photographs

VisualSize hopes to start providing a 3D measurement service soon. It works like this:

1. Take two photos of the object at different angles.
2. Submit them to the service.
3. The service matches pairs of features to:

- determine the x,y,z coordinates of the two camera positions.
- triangulate to reconstruct the 3D scene.
- measure length, angle, area and volume.
- make measurements accurate to 0.1 - 5%.

There isn't much at the VisualSize Web site, and the above info I got from TechCrunch.
