Green Roof Ditched
in Cost Overrun

Vancouver and Whistler are hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics, and hosting Olympics means that costs wildly overrun budgets. (Ask Londoners about this.)

Some of the skating rinks in Vancouver are being upgraded for the Olympics, and yesterday it was decided to eliminate the green roof planned for the upgraded Killarney Rink to help cut $2.4 million in cost overruns.
