In the good news dep't: Autodesk's Q4 revenues were up 19% to US$497 million.
The bad news: backdating of stocks will force Autodesk to restate earnings between 2003 and 2006.
In the war of numbers with SolidWorks, "In total, we shipped more than 15,000 commercial seats of Inventor in the quarter, easily surpassing the seats shipped by our closest competitor."
There's a big difference between actual numbers of seats 'shipped' and number of seats used.
We've all be 'victim' of it at least once.
If you upgrade to 'this' or buy 'this' I'm giving you 'that'...
By the way, keep up the excellent, excellent job your doing.

You know somethings fishy with the numbers when all of Autodesk's 3d products Revit(23,000 new seats), Inventor (15,000 new seats), and Civil 3D (9000 new seats) brought in 121 million in revenue, and Solidworks with its 12,141 new seats for the quarter brings in 74 million in revenue.
Autodesk must be giving away alot of their 3d products.
