Autodesk purchases Robobat of France for US$33 million. Its ROBOT Millennium software duz structural engineering analysis, design, and steel & concrete detailing. Autodesk plans to add it to Revit Structure, and maybe release a new package.
Robobat was founded in 1988, is located in Grenoble, and has a "significant operation" in Krakow, Poland.
That's a lot of money. I've seen other software that works just as good as robot for finite analysis of structures. Look at http://www.ponderaengineers.com for example.
