Seitz is boasting about its 160-megapixel digital camera for US$36,000. Take a look at its Web page: the camera is as ugly as sin. And it's enormous. And won't ship until next year.
The specs hint at some of the data transfer problems with such a high resolution: it takes a second to record the 160-million image, so this isn't a camera for sports photography. Each image takes up 300MB and rqeuires a reworked Mac Mini to store images on its hard drive. So this isn't a vacation camera either.
