Not since think3's CEO Joe Costello posted a few of his video monologues on the Web has any CAD CEO expressed himself frankly/outrageously/opinionatedly on a public forum. (With Carol Bartz gone, they're now all "hims.")
There are exceptions, found in semi-public forums. The CEOs of PTC and UGS and Intergraph make frank statements about the weaknesses of specific competitors. These take place during conference calls with financial analysts.
CEO of Alibre Greg Milliken has been blogging his thoughts at Alibre CEO Blog: Opinions from a software CEO. Some posts are marketing (ain't my Alibre software wonderful) but other posts take aim at the competition and -- gulp -- even us in the CAD media.
In "Thank You Sir May I have Another," he shakes his head at Autodesk's policy of forcing upgrades, while in "MCAD Industry View -- give me a break..." he skoffs at "Russ Henke's political agenda with some excerpts from old MCAD vendor press releases."
