Some of AutoCAD commands that deal with solid modeling reveal a hidden option called RESFIT. For example, enter an invalid response to the Fillet command:
Select an edge or [Chain/Radius]: asdf*Invalid selection*
Expects a point or Edge/Chain/Radius/RESFIT
Select an edge or [Chain/Radius]: resfit
< 0.001000000000000>:
Resfit is short for "resolution fit." ACIS uses it as the fit tolerance value when approximating curves and surfaces.
Older AutoCAD versions (than 2007) do not display this option but RESFIT still works there (2006, 2005, 2004).

Generally, it is NOT a good idea to change any of the ACIS tolerances - RESABS, RESFIT, RESNOR. Do so at your own risk.
