Autodesk buys Constructware for US$46 million cash. The two hope to finish the deal in March, but there are a bunch of closing conditions that need to be met -- kinda like buying a house.
The company does "on-demand communication and collaboration solutions that streamline design, construction and facility project management." Hey! I thot that was the point to Buzzsaw. Explains Autodesk: Constructware adds cost, bid and risk management to Buzzsaw, and wil be made to work with Revit and Civil 3D.
Constructware has 29,000 users, compared with Buzzsaw's 137,000. So that's another way for Autodesk to acquire more customers.
An Autodesk 3.0 component huh!

Interesting Revit, ADT and Civil 3D (rich client apps) has Buzzsaw. What is the rich client component of ConstructWare?
