Did you catch the lyrics of the song that started up when the Danish athletes entered the stadium? "Please don't let me be misunderstood."
Futurism is tedious.
Silly moment:The highlight of the event (according to the tv commentator) is the entry of the 80 nations into the stadium, with the flag-bearer busting with pride, athletes waving their country flags, but later swaying together as Peter Gabriel croons the anarchist anthem, "Imagine there's no countries." I imagine there would no Olympics, either.
"Imagine there's no religions." The Olympics worships flags. And the world worships the olympians.
Speaking of nations, there should be a requirement that snow has to fall in countries that want to be part of the Winter Olympics -- just like sun has to shine in countries that want to be part of the Summer Olympics.
Did you notice how the olympic rings changed color? First, their five colors represented at least one color in every flag. But towards the end of the show they lost their distinctive hues to become all-white.
This was the best opening events (it's no longer a ceremony) for an Olympic Games. Too bad it emphasized the philosophy of globalist utopianism.
