SolidWorks World starts next Sunday, although I won't be showing up until Monday afternoon. Other media will have to tell you about the Monday morning press conference, which was scheduled after my flight was booked. I trust my flight on Alaska Airlines to and from Las Vegas will be less eventful than the one blogged with the loss of air pressure due to ground crew scraping an unnoticed hole in the side of the plane.
The marketing departments of SolidWorks and associated third-party firms have me just about fully booked with meetings -- six on Tuesday, plus the morning keynote address and the big event Tuesday night: an evening at the Las Vegas speedway, where SWW attendees get to race cars and/or work as pit crew.
I leave for SWW on the day of Canada's federal election (see andrewcoyne.com to read about the disaster facing the incumbent leftwing Liberal Party), so I've already filled out my ballot at the advance poll. There is wireless in the hotel, so I hope to (1) follow the election results Monday evening over the Internet; and (2) blog SWW semi-live from the event.
