James Kante of the Internation Herald Tribune has a biography on Bernard Charlès, who heads up French CAD software company, Dassault Systèmes: A Frenchman with virtual passion.
Items of interest:
* In 2005 he was labelled "the most overpaid executive in France."
* He recalls coming up with the term "Product Lifecycle Management," or PLM.
* DS employs about 700 people (25% of its R&D staff) in Bangalore India.
oh that's weird. I thought it was Charles Foundyller (the 'other Charles') of Daratech that made that gem of a term up! I wonder who else can lay claim to PLM?
But anyway, as Evan Yares always says "laisser les bon temps rouler". (french, sorta)
