Adobe on Monday announces its Acrobat 3D product (US$995) -- essentially Acrobat 7 with 3D import from a variety of 3D MCAD packages, including CATIA, SolidWorks, and Solid Edge.
A clever trick is the new 3D clipboard:when a 3D program is running OpenGL graphics, press PrtScr. Adobe's newly acquired technology intercepts the screen grab and imports the 3D drawing into Acrobat 3D.
Also new is 3D Toolkit, included with Acrobat 3D, for enhancing 3D and 2D images with textures, animations, and so on. Read more about Acrobat 3D in today's upFront.eZine [issue #458].
