Months after its purchase of Arbortext, PTC finally revealed the pricetag: US$190 million for a company that grossed $33 million but lost $4 million last year. That makes the multiple 5.7 -- that means they paid 5.7x more than annual revenues, a number that's perhaps a bit on the high side.
$190 million takes a chunk out of PTC's bank account. Hopefully, software that updates documents will do well for the CAD company.
