Alibre to Free Xpress from Ads

On Alibre's forum, CEO "gregmilliken" hints that the Internet connection required for its free Alibre Xpress may be dropped, meaning that ads would not longer be displayed in the 3D CAD software.

"I have it on good authority that Alibre Design Xpress may soon no longer require an Internet connection and no longer display an ad banner."

What would that mean for those who ponied up $50 for the ad-free version?
