Dassault Systeme is saying that its 3DXML viewer will support IBM's Notes and Domino, so that 3D images can be 3D data viewed within the collaboration software. Antone Gonsalves writes in TechWeb News that the Lotus version of the 3D XML Player is scheduled for release by the end of the year, for free, from www.3ds.com/3dxml.
In related news, IBM agreed to deploy its consulting services to help companies implement Dassault's line of CAD and PLM softare.

Also, Dassault will port its CAD and PLM software the 64-bit of Windows XP running on Intel and AMD CPUs. Delivery date was not announced.
