Black Dog has a version of Linux that runs on a small USB box (it's bigger than the standard USB stick). Price starts at US$199. Product is due to ship 1 Sept.
Plug it into any Windows 2000/XP USB port, and it (re)boots as if it were a CD drive. Once booted, it accesses the computer's peripherals and network resources.
I am guessing there is going to be some setup required the first time, such as identifying the graphics board, mouse, and other hardware.
Also, the Web site has a skill contest that starts 1 Oct (I guess they haven't figured out yet what it'll be).
