HP is selling a "limited edition" Harajuku Lovers digital camera designed by Gwen Stefani -- not somebody I'm familiar with. Trying to spur demand, HP claims you can only buy one. For $249, a handbag-style camera bag is included.
I think mainly it's the green I find revolting. When my daughters get home from school, I'll ask their opinion.
"This limited-edition, kanji-fashion camera comes with a bunch of great extras. You get a certificate of authenticity, a cool-looking camera bag that Gwen designed to match, a DVD that's got an interview with Gwen and a remix from her Love, Angel, Music, Baby CD, charms, and more!" HP is breathless. Yet in the photo, it looks like those are guy's hands holding the camera.
"Forget about Gwen, HP. Dance with the girl you brought. That's the one who makes the picture, not the one who takes it," recommends The Motley Fool.
I was wrong. "That is SO cool!" exlcaimed my teenage girls. "I wish I had bought that one instead." And then immediately figured out how to paste the image into PaintShop Pro, manipulate it, print it on clear sitcky paper, and stick the images onto their cameras.
