IMSI, the makers of TurboCAD, report today their Q3 net revenues more than doubled from last year, increasing from US$ 2.7 million to $6.3 million. The company credits a 22% increase (over three months) in sales of CAD software, but the primary increase comes from the acqusition of Allume Systems, makers of utility software. That meant that consumer software revenues more than trippled, from $0.9m to $3.1m -- compared to a year ago.
The news is not all hearty, however.
Net income plunged from $548,000 to a loss of -$386,000. It appears that last year's profits were a unique event, due to one-time gains.
