What better way to boost sales of new books by making them appear controversial.
Apple Computer is helping author Jeffrey Young promote his new book by expressing shock over its contents. His book, "iCon Steve Jobs: The Greatest Second Act in the History of Business," is due to ship in early June.
Apple is further helping along potential sales by engaging in a dramatic act of book banning: all books published by John Wiley & Sons are to be removed from the over 100 Apple stores.
I suspect that the loss Wiley will suffer from the book banning will be tiny in comparison to the huge sales they can expect from people rushing to buy the iCon book at all other outlets. Amazon.com anyone?
