Zowie! Matrox Displays 4 Megapixels

Matrox Graphics' new Parhelia DL256 PCI graphics card supports very high-resolution, dual-link monitors under Windows 2000/XP, as well as for the Linux and Sun Solaris x86 operating systems "as upgrades."

The card handles two monitors, such as the 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Display, each with a resolution of up to 2560 x 1600 -- that's big enough to show 4-megapixel photographs at 100%.

The board is US$699 -- once it starts shipping. The monitors are an extra $2,999 each (with shipping free from store.apple.com).
