Lexar is suing Toshiba for allegidly stealing trade secrets. Here is the claim made by Lexar's in-house lawyer, Eric Whitaker:
"We will prove that Toshiba convinced Lexar to divulge its most confidential technical and business information with promises of a long-term strategic partnership, while secretly planning to partner instead with one of Lexar's competitors.
"Even worse, Toshiba demanded a seat on Lexar's Board of Directors, and then funneled Lexar's confidential information to our competitor [would that be SanDisk?], and attempted to shut Lexar out of key business opportunities."
Lexar has another law suit going against Toshiba that started back in 2002: infringement on more than ten of Lexar's patents on flash memory.
