Dassault Systemes reported results for its fiscal year today, and joins UGS in the Billion-dollar Revenue Club.

If Dassault used the same principles in their claim as they do in their official reporting, they wouldn’t be a billion dollar PLM vendor. Instead of using standard financial accounting methods, they picked a date when the USD was at its weakest in 2004, and used it for their conversion. Problem is, for official financial filings, they used 1.00EU=1.24USD. This leaves Dassault at 979USD in 2004. In essence $21 million short of the magic number...
