The PhotoTainer PT-300 from InnoPlus was the very first portable digital photo backup device to combine a 20MB hard drive, USB2 port, and color display with MP3, image, text, and movie playback.
The Korean company uses a GPL-licensed verison of microLinux on the PhotoTainer, and had been under pressure to release the code publically -- as required by the GPL license. Today they made the code available. The msg reads:
The Phototainer uses the LInux 2.4.19-rmk6 which is availabe at www.arm.uk.linux.org. Innoplus modified the source code as stated at Help/About menu in Phototainer. The modified source code is too large to post here. You can download the code through anonymous ftp.
> ftp innoplus.com
> user: "anonymous"
> cd pub
> get linux-phototainer.tar.gz
Unzip and untar the source. linux/config-phototainer is config file to use. Any question for it, please e-mail email@example.com
