Virus for 64-bit Windows

A bit of discussion over at /. concerning

- are virus writers getting ready to release code for 64-bit Windows?
- what are the differences in running code on 32-bit and 64-bit modes?
- are AMD CPUs less affected than Intel CPUs?
- are anti-virus companies creating viruses to ensure their business model continues to be viable?

That's right: the first 64-bit virus is in beta, written by Symantec.

As one contributor, Kevin Dawson, put it, "Seriously though, vulnerabilities will grow in proportion to the complexity of our systems."
