Solid Edge 16 Ships

UGS began shipping Solid Edge 16 today, in English; other langauges over the next few weeks.

Features include:

* Adjustable parts, fastener systems, and dynamic families of assemblies.
* Create 3D parts from 2D assembly layouts, and “Zero D” definition of product structure before geometry is committed.
* Advanced photo realistic-rendering solution, Virtual Studio+.
* Frame design and piping.

By far the best of the mid-range packages. Not necessarily the most popular, but that is changing also. With the ownership of the Parasolid and now D-Cubed, UGS is, no doubt, the most progressive and stable choice. When companies start looking at the "big picture" and get past the "feature - function" hype, they will see why this is the package of choice.
