Can there be anything more tedious than corporations explaining why they needed a new name, a new logo?
So, Lexar Media is changing its name to --- wait for it -- Lexar! Meaning, what... they no longer make media?
And the new logo represents, what? "...the new look symbolizes its spirit of innovation that has led to advanced solutions in digital photography, USB flash drives and digital music players. By creating a new logo and evolving the name, we are aligning the corporate identity to better illustrate who we are today and how we are growing to meet the future needs of our customers.”
To me, the new logo looks like data distintigrating before it got backed-up. And that "e" looks wrong. Anyhow, the press release fails to mention the cost of the makeover.
