Piranesi4 Due Soon

Version 4 of Piranesi ("3D painting") software is due to be released soon.

Piranesi 4 places 3D models and 3D text in the painting environment as 3D cutouts, viewed from any angle. 3DS, SketchUp, and DXF formats can be used, as well as Archvision RPC models. There are new illumination fades for spot and strip lighting. New filters for refining images: new bristle brush, and brush dynamicsfor selected random elements.

Piranesi 4 for Windows is expected to be on sale in September 2004. Any purchase of Piranesi 3 for Windows made after July 26th 2004 will entitle the purchaser to a free upgrade to Piranesi 4. The Mac OS X version of Piranesi 4 is currently under development and the release timetable is yet to be announced.
