DATACAD, the company, today released DCAL for Delphi for writing DLL-based add-ons. You can download the 3.8MB toolkit free as DCAL for Delphi.zip.
[I know what DLL is -- dynamic link library -- but the press release fails to explain DCAL. Something you put on a model airplane, after painting it?]
David A. Giesselman, cto at DATACAD, writes, "DCAL for Delphi offers access to DataCAD 11's double-precision database, new function calls, real-time debugging, and improved performance. Authors that [who?] have already developed DCX-based macros for previous versions of DataCAD can readily migrate them to create DLL-based add-ons for DataCAD 11."
[A visit to the Web site explains DCAL: Data CAD Applications Language.]
Tthe DDN (DataCAD Developer Network) support page is at datacad.com/ddn. DataCAD has over 250,000 installations worldwide.
